Joginder Sharma Profile

Full name-------> Joginder Sharma
Born-------------> October 23, 1983
Home Town----> Rohtak
Batting style----> Right-hand bat
Bowling style---> Right-arm fast-medium
ODI debut----->Bangladesh v India at Chittagong,Dec 23,2004
T20 debut------>England v India at Durban,Sep 19,2007

He had often been compared to fellow Haryanan Kapil Dev, India's greatest all
rounder, due to his similar aggressive batting style and fast bowling.
Sharma found a place for himself in the 2007 Twenty-20 World Cup in South
Africa. He bowled the final over in India's closely fought semifinal victory over
Australia in the tournament with 22 runs required, taking two wickets as India
won by 15 runs.
He also bowled the final over in the final against Pakistan with thirteen runs
required and only one wicket in hand. His first ball went for a wide and the
third was a full toss which was straight driven by Misbah-ul-Haq. Misbah
attempted to scoop the ball over the fine leg fielder from the fourth ball but
was caught by Sreesanth, giving India the win.

Parthiv Patel

Full name----------> Parthiv Ajay Patel
Born----------------> March 9, 1985,
Home Town-------->Ahmedabad, Gujarat
Batting style-------> Left-hand bat

He is a left-handed batsman and is of a very short stature at 160 cm.Patel
made his ODI debut against New Zealand in January 2003 .He was selected
in theIndian squad for the 2003 Cricket World Cup but did not play any
games, with Rahul Dravid being used as a make-shift wicket-keeper to
allow the use of an extra batsman or bowler.
With this policy in place, Patel only made intermittent appearances in ODIs,
usually when Dravid was injured or being rested (in full or from wicket-
keeping duties).
He played 13 ODIs in a two year span, and during an interrupted career
managed only an average of 14.66 and a top-score of 28.

Suresh Raina Profile

Full name ----->Suresh Kumar Raina
Born on--------> November 27, 1986,
Born Place-----> Muradnagar(Uttar Pradesh)
Batting style -->Left-hand batsmen
Bowling style-->Right-arm offbreak bowler
Nick Name----> Sanu
ODI debut ---->Sri Lanka v India at Dambulla, Jul 30, 2005.

An aggressive young batsman who has dismantled bowling attacks across the country, the prodigious Raina puts people in mind of Yuvraj Singh. A string of fine performances at the junior levels - where he frequently bullied his way to double-hundreds - landed him a spot in the India Under-19 squad. His 620 runs in six games, in the 2005-06 season, propelled Uttar Pradesh to Ranji Trophy glory.

Albie Morkel Profile

Name------------>Johannes Albertus Morkel
Country----------> South Africa
Date Of Birth---> June 10th, 1981
Place Of Birth--> Vereeniging, Transvaal
Batting Style---> Left Handed
Bowling Style--> Right Arm Medium Fast Bowler

Morkel made his international debut in a One Day International against New Zealand on 20 February 2004, which the South Africans lost by five runs. Morkel made six runs from six balls, batting at number four.
Ray Jennings, a former South African international, has picked Morkel to become a world-class all-rounder in the coming years, but his international career so far leaves something to be desired.

Makhaya Ntini Profile

Name -----------> Makhaya Ntini
Country---------> South Africa
Date Of Birth--> July 6th, 1977
Place Of Birth--> Zwelitsha
Batting Style --> Right Handed
Bowling Style -> Right arm fast bowler
Best bowling--> Tests 7/37 & ODI 6/22

A fast bowler, he tends to bowl from wide of the crease with brisk, although not
express, pace. Hehas survived legal controversy early on in his career to
become only the third South African to take 300 Test wickets after Shaun
Pollock and Allan Donald, and to reach second place in the ICCtest match
bowling ratings.Ntini came from humble beginnings where he tended cattle in
his home village of Mdingi in the Eastern Cape.It was there that his talent was
discovered and he was sent to Dale College in KingWilliam's Town where he
would develop his game.
His action was intentionally modelled on West Indian great Malcolm Marshall.
[citation needed] After a brief spell with Border his break came courtesy of an
injury to Roger Telemachus and Ntini was included in the South African squad
to tour Australia late in 1997.
His international début came on January 16th at Perth against New Zealand
where he took 2/30 off his full quota of 10 overs.

Chennai Stadium

The M. A. Chidambaram Stadium is a cricket stadium in Chennai (formerly Madras), India, named after M. A. Chidambaram, the former President of BCCI and the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association. The stadium was formerly known as Madras Cricket Club Ground or Chepauk Stadium. Commonly known as Chepauk, its first match was played February 10, 1934. This stadium is where the Indian cricket team won its first ever Test victory here in 1952 against England. It is the home ground of the Tamil Nadu cricket team.

The nature of the pitch at this ground is bouncy which offers something to both the bat and the ball in a country renowned for producing dry, low, spinning, flat wickets. In recent times, the wicket has got flatter.

The stadium witnessed history when only the second tied test was played here between India and Australian in 1986, which included Dean Jones making a heroic 210, Greg Matthews taking 10 wickets and Kapil Dev scoring an excellent century. Another famous moment was Saeed Anwar's record 194 against India in the Independence Cup on May 21, 1997. The stadium also witnessed dramatic scenes when 50,000 fans gave a standing ovation to the Pakistani cricket team in January 1999 after victory in a very closely fought test match.

MS.Dhoni - Profile

Born on July 7, 1981 in Ranchi, Jharkhand(India).

Dhoni is an aggressive right-handed batsman and wicket-keeper. Dhoni is one of the wicket-keepers who have come through the ranks of junior and India A cricket teams to represent the national team - Parthiv Patel, Ajay Ratra and Dinesh Karthik being the others. Dhoni, referred to as 'Mahi' by his friends, debuted in the Bihar cricket team during the 1998/99 cricket season and was selected to represent India-A for a tour to Kenya in 2004. Along with Gautam Gambhir, Dhoni made multiple centuries against the Pakistan-A team in a tri-nation series and was selected in the Indian national team later in that year.

Dhoni scored 148 against Pakistan in his fifth ODI match in 2005 - then the highest score by an Indian wicketkeeper. Later in the year, he broke his own record as well as set the current world record for the highest score in the second innings in ODI matches as he scored 183* against Sri Lanka. Dhoni's success in the limited overs format secured him a place in the test team and coincidentally he made his maiden test century in his fifth Test match, when he scored 148 against Pakistan. Consistent performances in ODI cricket through the end of the 2005/06 season saw Dhoni ranked as the No. 1 batsman in the ICC ODI ratings briefly.

Dhoni's form dipped through 2006 as India lost matches at the ICC Champions trophy, DLF Cup, away bilateral series against West Indies and South Africa. A return to form in the home series against West Indies and SriLanka in early 2007 proved to be an inaccurate indicator of Dhoni's form as India crashed out of the first round in the 2007 Cricket World Cup. Dhoni was out for duck in both India's losses. After the World Cup, Dhoni won the Man of the series award in the bilateral ODI tournament against Bangladesh. For the tour of England, Dhoni was named the ODI team vice-captain.

A powerful hitter of the ball, Dhoni has shown the maturity to restrain his aggressive nature and play a responsible innings when the situation requires.[3] Apart from traditional shots, Dhoni has two very unorthodox but effective cricket strokes. Since his entry into the Indian cricket team, Dhoni's aggressive batting style, success on the field, personality, and long hair have made him one of the most marketable cricketers in India.
