Purple cap awarded to the leading wicket taker in IPL

Orange cap is awarded to the leading run scorer in the IPL T20 tournament.Purple colour cap is being awarded to the highest wicket taker in the IPL T20 tourament.Based on the current standings(14th May 2008) Irfan Pathan is the leading wicket taker till now.He had taken 13 wickets in the tournament.

Chennai Super Kings won against Kings 11 Punjab

Chennai super kings won the match against Kings 11 Punjab at Chennai (M.A.Chidambaram stadium) on 10th May 2008.Kings 11 Punjab won the toss and elected to field.Chennai lost first 2 wickets in 2.2 overs.Sreesanth took the first 2 wickets.Suresh Raina & Badrinath had a partnership for 44 runs,then Raina got out in Piyush Chawla's over.Badrinath & Dhoni had a partnership for 91 runs.Finally Chennai Super Kings scored 181 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 4 wickets.

Chennai Super Kings lost the match against Rajasthan Royals by 8 wickets on
4th May 2008.Sohail Tanvir bowled an outstanding bowling(6 wickets for 14
runs) of his life.Munaf Patel was also bowled well taking 2 wickets.
The main reasons for the defeat for Chennai Super Kings are
1) Accurate bowling by the opposition.
2) Loss of 2 wickets in first over of the innings by the Chennai team.
3) Chennai team lost 5 wickets in 7.5 overs.
4) No big partnership except except Morkel-Raina partnership(44 runs).
